BYU Fans, Vernal, and a Wedding

It may be Friday the 13th, but I have only good things to share. We close on the house today and have been keeping busy this month before the move: setting up movers, choosing lighting and bathroom fixtures, visiting with friends and family who we will be less likely to see in the coming months, etc.

A couple weeks ago, we were lucky enough to be able to attend the BYU v. Wyoming basketball game with the Cluffs (Mike's sister and her kids). We had a blast! We are sure to miss them in the coming months! After the victory at the Marriot Center, we had a victory party at California Pizza Kitchen and then were treated to Krispy Kreme by Kathy, yum!

Here are some pictures where you can see the fans' faces! Sabrina entertained Maggie (see picture below), as usual, until Maggie got sleepy and Kathy had to work her magic and get her to sleep. (Yes, even in a noisy, crowded basketball arena Kathy can rock babies to sleep.) The boys were pretty serious about the game (as you can see above) and I for one was relieved it wasn't as stressful as some of the other recent games we have been (Wake Forest or UNLV anyone?).

Tasi had a birthday this week and we were invited to spend another fun evening with the Cluffs for dinner and family night. Fun times!

Then last weekend we got to go see Great-Grandpa Gotfredson in Vernal. Maggie was more interactive than she was last summer when he saw her and Grandpa was duly impressed with her smiles and charm. Above see Grandpa and Maggie conversing and Grandpa, Maggie, and Dad hanging on the couch. We enjoyed spending time with Grandpa and hope to get out to see him one more time before we head for Kansas.

Last night, we were able to go to my cousin Jake's wedding. Maggie was able to meet her third cousins Benjamin (left) and Jacob (not pictured). I enjoyed seeing all my Haglund cousins and hope any of you will come see us if you ever end up in Kansas!!
