Our Busy August

We have had quite the month. After our trip to Enoch, we had the first ever Gotfredson family reunion followed by Maggie’s baby blessing and a trip to Park City with the Wanlasses. Somewhere in there we also tucked in my birthday, my graduation ceremony, a couple VanDerwerken visits, and my friend Kristen’s wedding. Look for posts and pictures on these events later.

Today, my cousin Lauren and I are spending some time hanging out. She is awfully sweet about helping with baby Maggie. I think I am getting spoiled from having so much family around to help me watch my little one. Anyway, it’s time I was off. We are headed for Macey’s for cheap and yummy soft serve!

Maggie's 1st Overnight (Part II)

For the record, I did not write the last few entries, despite the tag. I guess Mike is too embarrassed to post in his own name. :)

I had a few more words to say regarding “Maggie’s first overnight.” We went down to Enoch on Friday, July 25th to visit our sister-in-law Jennifer and her darling daughters Rachel and Abigail, as they were here in Utah visiting Jenn’s parents. Maggie was a perfect little traveler and slept the whole three-hour-long drive down there (as she did on the way back). When we got there Jenn, who is a fabulous hostess, by the way, had arranged a welcome party and we had a lovely barbeque. The next day, we went to “The GAP,” otherwise known as Parowan Gap, where Jenn’s dad gave us a great tour including some Indian petroglyphs, legends, and dinosaur tracks! After a terrific lunch at Sizzler, the boys watched the kids while the girls went to the movies. Then we got to play with our neices a little longer before heading home. Yes, we highly recommend the hospitality in Enoch. The food and entertainment were excellent, as was the company. Thank you Broughs!!
